What is the
UNSDG Innovation Challenge?
This challenge invites students aged 10 to 20 as well as educators to design and present a real-world project that addresses any of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Through a digital infographic poster and an explanatory video lasting up to 8 minutes, participants will showcase their ideas, actions, and impact toward a better and more sustainable future.
Open to Primary (10–12), Secondary (13–17), Tertiary (18–20) and Educators categories, the challenge encourages creativity, critical thinking and community-driven solutions.
What do you need to do?

Choose a real-world issue based on the UNSDGs.

Design and carry out a project that addresses the issue.

Create an infographic poster (A2, portrait) to summarise the project.

Record an explanatory video up to 8 minutes.

Submit both the poster and video using the official templates and naming formats.
Participation Guidelines
This competition is open to students aged 10 to 20, in three age groups:
Primary (10–12)
Secondary (13–17)
Tertiary (18–20)
Educator (Open Category)
Join as an individual or in a team of up to 3 (within same category).
Projects must be original and aligned to at least one UNSDG.
Language: English or Bahasa Malaysia (bilingual welcome).
AI tools may be used with proper acknowledgement.
All entries must be submitted by the stated deadline via the official submission form available on the TKClimate 2025 website.
Rules and Regulations
This competition is open to individuals or teams of up to 3 students within the same age category.
Each team may submit only one entry (poster + video).
The project must relate to at least one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
Entries must be original and student-created. Guidance from teachers is allowed for the student category, but all content must reflect students’ own work.
Submissions must include:
An A2 digital infographic poster.
An explanatory video lasting no more than 8 minutes.
All entries must be submitted via the official platform by the deadline.
Posters must not include school or institution names to ensure fair and unbiased judging.
Subtitles are required for all videos, regardless of the language used.
Use of AI tools or online design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) is allowed, but should be clearly acknowledged if used.
Teams must adhere to all format and naming conventions. Improperly submitted files may be disqualified.
All entries must be submitted via the official submission form available on the TKClimate 2025 website by the stated deadline.

File Naming Format: Poster_TeamName_ParticipantCode*
(eg: Poster_EcoChampions_SDG1001)* Participants will receive their unique participant code by email once their registration has been successfully completed.
Important: Do not include your school or institution name on the poster. This ensures fairness and impartiality during the judging process.
Video Format
Your video should clearly explain your project in a way that is engaging, informative, and easy to understand.
Requirements:
Length: Maximum 8 minutes
Language: Any language is allowed, as long as English subtitles are provided
All videos must include English subtitles, regardless of the spoken language

Judging Criteria
Each submission will be evaluated based on the following aspects:
Innovation and creativity of solution
Relevance to the UNSDGs
Visual appeal and infographic design (poster)
Clarity of communication (poster & video)
Presentation delivery
Impact and feasibility
Registration and Submission Stages
Participation in the UNSDG Innovation Challenge involves two simple steps:
Registration Stage
1
Registration is free and compulsory for all participants.
The challenge is open to individuals or teams (up to 3 members) in one of the following categories:
Primary (ages 10–12)
Secondary (ages 13–17)
Tertiary (ages 18–20)
Educator (Open category)
Participant Kit Contribution
To ensure that all participants receive proper recognition and access to the TKClimate Convention 2025 online session, a participant kit contribution is kindly required upon submission. The kit includes an official e-certificate, medal(s), and access to the TKClimate 2025 online session.
Participants may choose from the following package options:
RM40 (USD20 for international participants): 1 medal, 1 certificate and TKClimate Convention online session access
RM100 (USD40 for international participants): 3 medals, 3 certificates and TKClimate Convention online session access
For Educators; RM80 (USD50 for international participants): 1 medal, 1 certificate and TKClimate Convention online session access
Note :
Fee applies per entry (not per participant).
Payment must be made via bank transfer or FPX (payment details will be provided in the submission section).
Participants must upload proof of payment together with their final submission.
Submission Stage

Once your project is ready, submit your poster and video through the official TKClimate website.
Please ensure the following when submitting:
The submission includes both poster and video.
Only one submission per entry is allowed (whether individual or team).
Ensure that all files are correctly named and uploaded according to the guidelines provided on the website.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
